Japan Go! Go!

Pe-yo!

As the countdown ticks away, my days are getting nearer to the days when me and me friends are going to travel Japan for ten days! I'm so excited! I've been dreaming to go to Japan since I was little , since I found anime and J-Dorama and since then I've been researching the place, watch documentaries, read some picture books of the country and liking every scenic photo pop-ups on my instagram timeline. When I was 16 or 15 (it was around 10 years ago) I had compiled my own must-visit/travel-countries. In the list there are four other countries beside Japan and there are:
  • Korea
  • England
  • Paris
  • Australia
I didn't say that I don't want to go other countries except these five but if I do get the opportunities to do then I would be more than happy to go there. Of course born into middle class family gives a restrain for me to go travel by the flick of your finger but it teaches me to 'work' for what I want. To own my dream using my own effort because at the end, when you reap the effort you made... it felt so good and satisfying.

Back to my story of wanting to go to Japan, well it was an impulse decision. It was done by the minute my roommate, KorBoo (not real name) saw a really cheap ticket flights to Osaka. It was RM600 (around USD150 on November)  return flights and we were really stocked about it. The usual price for flight tickets to go to Japan is around RM1000-RM1,500 return flights and this time, at the end of the year 2017, we got a bargain.

Well, the story was not that simple actually. A lot of adjustment needed to be made on the month that we were planning to go and gathering people who want to travel with us to Japan plus the deadline of the promotion are getting near to end. So much need to be done in flash and think through. We sort of wanted to go to autumn season because Osaka serve best autumn season around the world but the price tickets made our eyes bulging. The only months we have is around July and August. Summer in Japan is great too. They have a lot of matsuri (festivals) and fireworks and food stalls. But going on July might be a big risk especially for us because at that month we had our Final Year Project presentation and I dont want to take that risk. Well I might as well let go all the matsuri away when later I found out most of matsuri happened on early July or late July. August is just the month where heat makes you beg for ice (well I search on their normal temperature on August, pfft, it is like a normal weather in Malaysia all year round, so no big deal, i guess) On other note, we can save space for clothes and wear only thin ones. Maybe I can even pose like a model in the summer with shades and hat ⌣

Back to the story, not only do we have to reconsider our FYP months but also start of our career. If were going later than August, and if we get a job earlier than the month, to get a holiday might be impossible because of the probation and what-not. Plus, the days where the tickets are cheap are also differ. When we got the best price to go to Japan, the return flight are expensive and when we do found a cheap one, it became a vice versa moment. Our initial plan are to go travel Osaka is to have a five/four days itinerary but getting the best price out of all, we ended up to get a 10 days travel to Osaka. Means that there are a lot of place that we can cover and a lot of things we can do and so on.

So, on the 10th of August me and me friends are going to Japan to experience ourselves the best of Japan we can get. There's a lot more that I want to tell but lets save it to later date. Today I just want to put a notice on my blog so that it become a reminder for me on how many days left.

P/s: Having countdown makes me all jittery and excited!
